Spring, Midterm and Korea Times Essay Contest Win

April 14, 2011

Hey guys! I have been really busy the past few weeks so pardon the lack of updates! Spring is coming, I mean it's Spring now officially but flowers have not fully bloomed yet, and Midterm is also coming next week! So I will be busy probably until the 1st week of May.

My travels these days have been limited to areas around Seoul so there is really nothing new to post here. But I guess in the Summer I will be traveling somewhere else. Outside Korea, hopefully. It might be India! Who knows? And by the way, I recently won the essay contest of The Korea Times, Korea's most widely circulated English daily, and so I am gonna attend the awarding ceremony
at Seoul Plaza Hotel some time next month to receive my prize (1,000 USD+plaque). What a blessing. The topic was about the Korean reunification. I wrote the essay for more or less an hour since I did not have the luxury of time then. Never expected I would win but hey, it happened! i'm gonna post my essay here once it gets officially published via The Korea Times Newspaper/Website.

I will try to post some Spring photos here next week... cherry blossoms around my campus will fully bloom come weekend! For now, here are some photos from the past weeks!
