Seoul and Busan are Korea's 2 largest and most important cities. I personally recommend not missing these two cities when you visit Korea. I would say missing Jeju Island is fine. ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ The good news is, Korea Tourism Organization is now providing foreigners with a free daily shuttle bus service plying the Seoul-Busan-Seoul route, until December 2011. What a treat! That's a 60-80 USD savings!
All you need to do is to reserve your trip at Visit Korea Year Website. Free Bus service to Jeonju and Gyeongju are available too! Buses depart in front Donghwa Duty Free Shop at Gwanghwamun Square daily (except Mondays) at 8am. One way trip from Busan is not available. Original passport is required upon boarding. Busan is
roughly 4-5 hours from Seoul by this bus. I love Busan - simple, warm and friendly. I lived there for at least a year as an exchange student. To know more about this dynamic Korean city, check my previous post here.
